What kind of hands-on projects are included in the H2K Infosys Cybersecurity Program?
I've taken a close look at the project structure in the H2K Infosys Cybersecurity Program and the hands on work is a pretty accurate reflection of what goes on in real world security operations. Learners spend a lot of time practicing things like doing vulnerability scans, looking at logs, dealing with simulated security incidents & basic penetration testing in controlled environments where they're using tools like Wireshark, Nmap and SIEM systems. Halfway through the course they get the chance to work with some actual real world security scenarios related for cyber security sales training, where students learn how to pitch security solutions to meet business needs. The projects typically involve setting up a small security monitoring system, going through the traffic from a fake attack, putting together a report and presenting a plan to fix any problems they found - all skills that are pretty much what you'd expect from someone just starting out as a SOC analyst in a real company.
