A lot of people start with SQL when getting into analytics, and honestly, it makes sense. Most beginner data analyst jobs involve pulling or working with data from databases in some way. But from what I’ve noticed, SQL by itself usually isn’t enough to fully impress recruiters anymore. Companies often look for basic Excel knowledge, reporting skills, maybe even some dashboard experience too. That’s probably why many beginners end up taking Data analyst online classes alongside SQL practice. It helps connect the technical part with real business tasks, which is something interviews tend to focus on. I’ve spoken with a few learners connected to H2K Infosys, and one thing they kept bringing up was how practical projects changed the way they understood SQL. Instead of just memorizing queries or practicing random examples, they were working through scenarios that actually felt close to real job tasks.
