Most companies want people who can actually work in SQL, build dashboards in Power BI or Tableau, clean messy datasets and explain insights in a way that non-technical teams can understand. Real project exposure is also important, because companies want people who know how analytics works in real life, not just through videos or textbooks. I have also realised that getting a Data analytics certification helps in shortlisting, especially when the course has hands-on assignments and interview preparation. I know some people who joined programs with H2K Infosys and they felt a lot more job-ready because the training was more on real business use cases rather than just concepts.
