Why do most cybersecurity students fail to get hired?
Most cybersecurity students don’t miss out on jobs because they’re not smart enough it’s usually because they lean too much on theory and don’t get their hands dirty. I’ve seen this quite a bit, even with platforms like H2K Infosys, where the structure is there, but results really depend on how much effort someone puts into practicing beyond the basics. The real gap shows up in interviews people struggle with practical scenarios, tools, or even thinking through problems. That’s where cyber security training with job placement should actually focus more. Certifications help, sure, but without real lab work or project experience, they don’t carry much weight in hiring decisions.
