Hey everyone,

I’m running into performance issues during local DevOps workflows, especially when dealing with Docker containers and CI pipelines while developing custom WordPress plugins. The system becomes sluggish, and sometimes services crash or hang—mainly during tasks like running builds, automated tests, or syncing with remote environments.

I’m using Docker Compose to manage services like NGINX, MySQL, and Redis. Everything works fine until I start working on larger WordPress plugin projects—at which point performance starts to degrade noticeably.

Has anyone optimized their local environment specifically for WordPress plugin development within a DevOps context? I’m looking for best practices around Docker resource allocation, file sync strategies (e.g., mutagen vs native mounts), and any tips on speeding up local CI runs without sacrificing stability.

Would appreciate any recommendations!
