You get exposure to things like network defense, threat detection, and incident handling, which honestly reflects real SOC work pretty closely. In most cyber security training and job placement setups, learners also work with SIEM tools, try vulnerability scanning, and pick up some scripting and cloud basics along the way. What really matters, though, is how well you can actually use these skills troubleshooting issues, analyzing alerts, and documenting clearly, since that’s what teams expect daily.
