How can you build a strong cybersecurity portfolio from scratch?
If I’m honest, my cybersecurity portfolio didn’t come together overnight. It was more of a slow build, piece by piece. I started with structured learning at H2K Infosys, then spent a lot of time experimenting, breaking things, fixing them. Somewhere in the middle, I leaned into cyber security training and placement focused projects, which actually made things feel more practical. I worked on vulnerability assessments, SIEM use cases, and a few penetration testing labs. I documented everything Wireshark, Nmap, Splunk, what worked, what didn’t. Sharing it on GitHub, along with Security+, made it feel more real, more grounded over time.
