Do cybersecurity courses actually help with job placement?

Yes, cybersecurity courses can help with job placement, but I find the outcome depends more on practical skills, projects, and interview readiness than simply completing a course. Programs such as H2K Infosys can provide structured learning, hands-on labs, and career guidance, but learners still need to demonstrate real security knowledge to employers. A strong cyber security training with job placement program should ideally include practical exercises using tools such as Wireshark, SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, and cloud security environments. Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or CEH can strengthen a resume, particularly for entry-level roles, but certification alone rarely guarantees employment. From an industry perspective, candidates who can investigate alerts, analyze logs, identify vulnerabilities, document incidents, and explain their approach during interviews are generally better positioned for cybersecurity roles. Placement assistance can be useful for resume preparation, interview practice, and connecting candidates with opportunities, but actual hiring depends on skills, experience, location, and employer requirements.
