You don’t need prior experience, but you do need to get comfortable with basics like networking, Linux, and core security concepts first. From there, practicing with tools like Wireshark or Nmap makes a big difference. Certifications such as Security+ or CEH help, sure, but real skills matter more in interviews. A good cyber security training and job placement setup can really help bridge that gap into a first role.
