How important is hands-on lab experience in cyber security training?

From what I’ve personally noticed, hands-on labs are honestly the part that makes cyber security training actually useful. Reading concepts is fine, but until you start digging through alerts, testing tools, or figuring out why something broke, it doesn’t fully click. A lot of training providers, including H2K Infosys, focus more on practical exercises now because employers care about real exposure. A proper cyber security training with job placement program should involve SIEM monitoring, Wireshark traffic analysis, vulnerability testing, and incident response practice. Certifications definitely help on a resume, sure, but lab work is usually what builds confidence, sharper troubleshooting skills, and readiness for actual SOC environments.
