What Are the Best Certifications in Cyber Security?

From my experience in the industry and while collaborating with learners at H2K Infosys, the best cybersecurity certifications depend on career stage and role. For beginners, CompTIA Security+ builds strong fundamentals, while CEH focuses on ethical hacking skills. Mid-level professionals often pursue CISSP or CISM for governance and architecture roles. Cloud-focused roles benefit from AWS Security Specialty or Azure Security Engineer. Employers increasingly value certifications aligned with real skills and Cyber security training and placement programs that include labs, threat simulations, and compliance exposure. In practice, certifications matter most when paired with hands-on SIEM tools, incident response workflows, and real-world security scenarios.

That’s a solid list of certifications, especially for building foundational knowledge in cybersecurity. But I noticed you didn’t mention anything about Palo Alto Networks’ Network Security Professional ( NetSec-Pro) Certification (like PCNSA or PCNSE). Have you looked into that path?

I’m actually considering going for it myself, mainly because of how widely Palo Alto firewalls are used in enterprise environments. Curious to hear your thoughts, do you think it holds the same industry value as CEH or Security+?
